Attila4MC-TamarackTM provides MCNP CSG users with an intuitive GUI interface for constructing, verifying and viewing MCNP input decks. Tamarack is robust, it has been developed and tested using over 2,500 MCNP input decks, supports syntax in MCNP versions 4, 5, and 6, and performs input deck error catching.
Tamarack can export translated CSG models to CAD using boundary spline surface representations (B-Rep) in the STEP (*.stp) format, providing a robust and flexible coupling with CAD. This approach provides significant benefits over tessellated (*.stl) export formats, as it enables true surface geometry to be imported back to CAD, allowing geometry models to be further verified in CAD and providing feedback of analysis design iterations back to CAD. Additionally, the Tamarack CAD converter enables legacy MCNP input decks to be readily incorporated into MCNP unstructured mesh calculations using Attila4MC, facilitating the validation and adoption of the unstructured mesh workflow.
Tamarack has built-in libraries for materials, energy bins, gamma source library and response functions. Using the Tamarack assistant, data from each of the above can be easily inserted into MCNP input decks.
